[he sighs heavily, as if putting words to the things in his head is such a chore] It's like, I'm all blistered where I should be afraid. There's all these big - [he grasps the air with his bony fingers, gesticulating as he searches for words] - big sores and stuff, like a scab or somethin'. But it's all up in my brain and I'm thinkin' I should just keep it sore like it is or it'll start healin'... and all I'm afraid of now is pickin' it off when it gets better and what's gonna come out from underneath it.
