[Arches eyebrow. Really.

The way she talks sounds like she's scolding a kid.]

Come back here, Sasha.

[ She doesn't, actually. She just winces like she's been punches and stays still, looking at the floor. Her hands twist around each other nervously and she's just... staring at her feet.

Why did she get out of bed... ]

[... Fine. Aspen will go to you. God, what a fucking useless kid.]

What're you doing here? Didn't Kulshedra tell you to cut that shit out?

[ Frowning, her fingers start scratching at her wrists as Aspen addresses her. She nods a little uselessly. She'll get out soon, she did it once, she'll do it again. ]

[Aspen wishes she could just eat half the slaves that act like this one does. Kulshedra likes them so much when they're broken, though, and even someone like precious Aspen would get a lot of shit for breaking then number one rule: don't kill each other unless she tells you to do so.

And she's too fucking hung up on the fact that Sasha got away. Aspen wants to know how, but... it's Sasha. Gaining her trust is like trying to reach the moon with your fingers.]

The least you could do is answer me with words.

I'm-- I'm sorry.

[ It's barely audible, the way she speaks. She swallows in dry and shrugs her shoulders in that protective manner of hers, looking like she's going to disappear underneath her clothes. ]

[She's quiet for a moment, considering. There's rarely a smile in Aspen's lips when she's talking to the slaves because it would just be hypocritical and not all of them are stupid enough to actually believe it. For all the faults Sasha has, she seems to have sneaked away with some cleverly kept intelligence.]

... It's fine.

[Another pause. She crosses her arms, sounding a little impatient.]

But stop acting so nervous all the time. No wonder they like to pick on you so much.

[ Those words do nothing to soothe Sasha, of course, but she frowns slightly. This is Aspen. She is basically Kulshedra's right arm. It makes her more worried she isn't abusing her after she fled the monster's maze because she's terrified of what comes next to the calm. ]

I-- [ She glances off to the side, before stealing a quick glance at Aspen, but her attention, per usual, does not last long on any face to avoid eye contact. ] I can't. I'm, I'm sorry.

[Aspen is never particularly vengeful, she only acts vicious towards the other slaves when Kulshedra allows her to (and even then, she makes sure they know she's being forced... supposedly). Basically, when she says 'I'm leaving', it means the house is entirely left to the monster hybrid to control. She's free to do whatever she wants, but she makes sure she doesn't turn her fellow slaves against her. Just because you have power doesn't mean you have to use it all the time. All it takes is for them to know you can.

She purses her lips with a shrug.]

Fine, your loss, Sasha. Just trying to help.

[She looks around.]

So, what are you doing here?

[ Shifting uncomfortably, Sasha crosses her arms over her stomach, as if trying to shield herself from the whole world. She's not sure of what to answer to the hybrid's question, so she looks around as well. ]

I just... ended up here. [ Which is not a lie. ] I don't know. [ But that's the how. The what is a completely different matter.

She's been using her vision-powers a bit lately and she's starting to feel the sickening need for human blood - her body hurts more than usual, she gets a little feverish and nauseated, among other lovely symptoms. She's just too much out of comfort zone to bash someone's head in and take their blood. ]

[The dodge to the question makes Aspen stare at her, suspecting something. She better not be up to something--Kulshedra will be even more pissed off. Not that it's Aspen's problem.]

You just ended up here. [Right.] So where did you come from?

[ She shrugs a little bit, but doesn't want Aspen to think she's brushing her off (because the scrawny rat would never do that, too much of a coward). ] I don't-- I don't remember. [ A pause. ] Hum, our world, I guess.

[ She twists the hem of her sleeves apprehensively and not looking at Aspen, she asks: ] Can I, hum... May, May I-- Do you m-mind if I, if I smoke?

[She tries to figure out if Sasha is lying, but she's so fucking nervous all the time it becomes almost impossible to tell unless you actually know the truth. A soft sigh.]

Sure, fine. [she waves her hand.] Just as long as you don't talk with that thing in your mouth. You know I hate that.

[ Sasha nods and she's quite thankful that Aspen is allowing her to do so. She prefers to roll her cigarettes, it's something that calms her down for a change, but she doesn't want to waste time so instead she takes a pack of Lucky Strike from her jacket, taking one out and lighting it, making sure the smoke doesn't go towards the hybrid.

She looks around slowly, like she's tired (she is, of course, sleeps very little, eats even less), and then looks at Aspen, again for a short moment. ]

Is she... [ A pause. ] I-Is she, w-with you?
