[He hisses a little bit. This doesn't look intimidating, the lights are just annoying him.]

You're gonna have to do better than that.

It's just light.

[ except it totally isn't. There's that hideous buzzing. Jimmy narrows his eyes against the flickering light and stalks along the wall, apparently looking for something. ]

[He gives only a passing glance, eyes quickly scanning him from head to toe, answer intentionally delayed.

He turns away, standing in place.]

[ with his attention firmly fixed on the brick wall beneath the sea of flickering lights Jimmy ignores whatever searching looks are thrown his way. He continues his way along the length of a wall, squinting occasionally as the lights flicker in and out of life. ]

Find a switch or something. This shit is sounding seriously unhappy.

[he snorts.]

Yeah, seriously doubt they're giving us a switch. I'm getting the fuck out of here.

Who's 'they'? It's just some crappy wiring...

[ He straightens and turns, frowning at the mention of leaving. ]

You know where the exit is?

[ourstorock]

And we so just happened to be here? [Not likely, says his tone.]

Nope, but that's not stopping me. Feel free to tag along.

[ his shoulders stiffen; he's already taking offence at the implications of 'tag along'. Jimmy McGee, he said to himself, is no tag-along ward to be looked after by some other vampire (no heartbeat, no blood flow) he knows next to nothing about - but animal instinct is telling him not to be left alone. Unhappy with the situation but not seeing any other practical solution, he purses his lips and imperceptibly nods his head. ]

If you reckon it's a trap - [ his words are slow and firm as he turns his back on the lights ] - then we're better working together than apart.

I never say no to good company. [It isn't really an attempt to be charming when it just tends to naturally roll off his tongue, seeing no danger in the other vampire's apparent bad mood. Etyer is much too confident for that. Time to get on their way, then.]

[scarifire]

[ Jimmy isn't normally in such a bad mood; he's just too used to treating unknown situations as a fight. He snorts, mostly in amusement, at the other vampire's line. ]

Hey, you might change your mind if we never get out of here.

[His little smile stretches into a grin, like he suddenly remembered something unrelated to the conversation.]

Then I'll change my mind.

Jimmy. [ he spares the lights one last long-suffering glance - he can't resist the urge to want to turn them off, rip them down, do something. Jimmy drags himself away from them and shifts towards the more reassuring the depths of the shadows in search of an exit. ] So then what do you reckon this all is? Not just shitty lights in some weird-ass basement?

[ourstorock]

Nice to meet you, Jimmy. [He's comfortable with that name. Meeting strangers in unfamiliar ground makes the experience less unpleasant, you see.] It looks pretty intentional to me. Just gotta worry about those intentions.

[scarifire]

Yeah. Likewise. [ he continues onwards, shifting along in the darkness and searching for an exit. ] Fuck the intentions, I reckon we could handle whatever this place pitches our way. [ yeah Jimmy is sizing you up in the darkness, Etyer; he's wondering if you'd be any good in a fight. ]

[He laughs.]

That's why they pitched us together instead.

[But he has no intention to fight. He's definitely better than Kelenn at it, maybe not as good as Adhem. He'll just take whatever comes his way, no other way to live his (after)life.]
