a day in my life: 06/18/10
Hi! I'm Kyra, 26, from Pennsylvania. This is my June 18th, during which I attend Art of the Avenue and also do some other things. 55 pictures total.

Those cats wake my up entirely too early.

Morgaine and Mako are very anxious to be fed. Mutz chooses to stay in bed.

I decide to go back to bed until a more reasonable hour.

Mako is very excited to see me awake.

He follows me into the bathroom and attempts to scare Morgaine away through the door. It doesn't work.

We named him Mako because he bites. Like a shark.

I make some tea. Morgaine supervises.

I water my houseplants while my tea steeps.

I take my tea and my laptop outside to the 2nd floor porch. I like to spend my Saturday mornings out there; it is very peaceful.

I look down at the backyard and realize I should probably weed the patio at some point.

I hear Chris moving around inside and go downstairs to find him. Mutz finally makes an appearance - he wants to drink my tea.

Chris is making a sandwich. I try to explain that this is not breakfast food, but he does not listen.

I wash the dishes while he eats his "breakfast".

We make up a shopping list for our upcoming picnic.

My mum calls to tell me that she and my sister will soon be coming to pick my up.

I (finally) get dressed and go outside to wait for them.

Chris considers putting the grill together while I am gone, but decides against it.

My mum and sister finally arrive and we head off.

Our first stop is the Animal Rescue League so my mum can donate blood.

Kylie and I are not nearly so adventurous. We wait outside.

It takes a very long time to donate blood, apparently.

We finally reach our destination - Art on the Avenue!

We spend most of our time in the adorable little shops.

It is very, very hot. We stop for a drink.

They were selling blocks of the street to paint, but we were far too hot and tired to participate.

When I get home, Chris and I go upstairs to read. The bedroom is the only air conditioned room. I am reading Emma, Chris is reading The Secret History.

Mako and Mutz decide to join us.

Mutz is very intrusive.

I fall asleep before long. When I wake up, it has gotten very late.

The cats demand their dinner. They are messy eaters.

Mutz does not approve of my nap.

I go outside to water my plants.

When I am done in the yard, we head over to the Apple Dumpling Festival.
