Dear Writer,
Thank you in advance for writing for me! Some of the things I'm asking for have been things I have wanted fic about forever, so getting a chance to ask for them makes me really very happy. I can't wait to see what you're going to do.
I am going to copy my general likes/dislikes section from my yuletide letter, which should all apply here. I'll go into more specific stuff for each request, but in general, if you don't like any of my specific ideas that's a good place to work from.
Things I like include: friends to lovers, porn, reluctant allies, hurt/comfort, emotional codependence, baby/kid fic, character development, banter, road trips, "oh no, [they're] hot," fake dating, casual touching, all touching, intimacy of all kinds. There are probably more, but that is a relatively representative list.
Things I don't like include: non-con, character bashing. That's pretty much it. I don't ask for characters I don't like and if you make it really obvious you don't care for them, I'm probably not going to like whatever else it is you write.
AMERICAN IDOL RPF - FANFICTION - CARRIE UNDERWOOD/DAVID COOK
This is one of my first actively fannish ships (I lurked forever), and it's all because of this video.
And now, with the end of American Idol, some of those feelings came rushing back because suddenly David Cook is doing a lot more press again and it's reminding me about what I liked about this back then, which was a mix of overwhelming angst and dorkitude. I'd like a fic about that.
She's married, he's apparently married; their lives have gone in very different directions as winners of American Idol. But it's the last season, and there has to be something big planned with alums, right? Maybe that's a thing. Maybe you go in a completely different direction. That would be fine too.
But really. The angstier the better. I mean that.
RAVEN CYCLE - FANFICTION - BLUE SARGENT/RICHARD CAMPBELL GANSEY III, DEAN ALLEN/MAURA SARGENT
Blue/Gansey: Bring on the doom, please. However hard you are considering leaning into the angst, lean harder, because this is a couple that I call DOOMED KISSING with friends, so you know that I like that aspect. Almost kisses, actual kisses (and death), unconsummated longing, I'm into all of it.
Dean/Maura: On the other hand, I'd really sort of love some comedy here. Those two are GREAT together, and them being together plus Artemus, means that Blue has two dads and the idea of that cracks my shit up so hard. Or even if you just want to do them attempting to have a "normal" relationship and failing super hard because neither of them is capable of it.
TAYLOR SWIFT RPF - FANFICTION - HARRY STYLES/TAYLOR SWIFT, HARRY STYLES/KARLIE KLOSS/TAYLOR SWIFT
Harry/Taylor: I suppose I should start by saying I don't ship this ironically or anything. I'm not even a huge 1D person, but something about what a hot mess he is versus what a controlled human being she is just appeals to me. I would happily read anything about the short period they were actually together, or anything after, or them just being fuck buddies who write songs about each other. Or if you want to go AU, there's probably a high school AU about the student body president and the school slacker in there somewhere. Or something else, I'm flexible.
Harry/Karlie/Taylor: OKAY, SO. I'm into this as a triad, but I'd also be into it as a triangle, too. Once upon a time, I had a really random thought about how they'd make a great fairy tale, where Harry is the false prince and Karlie is actual Taylor's one true love, but if you don't want to go that route, I'm still definitely evisioning more of a V-type poly situation, but that's mostly because I don't think I've ever seen Harry and Karlie interact. If you can think of a scenario where that works, I'm all for it.
TENNIS RPF - FANFICTION - FANFICTION - EUGENIE BOUCHARD/LAURA ROBSON, LAURA ROBSON/MADISON KEYS
Genie/Laura: Obviously, there's a history of broken friendship here, and that's more or less where the ship comes in for me. Plus, there's decent hurt/comfort potential, in Genie's injury last fall and Laura understanding all too well what it's like to be injured and how long the road back can be. Or maybe Genie reaches out when her 2015 season starts falling apart because she needs a friend, despite the fact that she doesn't want to. Would Laura forgive her? Make her earn it? There's just a lot of really good angst potential here and I'm into it.
Laura/Madison: So, being into these two isn't totally new for me (them playing dubs at Wimbledon made my heart sing), but their #squadgoals posts from Sharapova's charity event last December SLAAAAAAAAAAYED me. They're so cute! So darling! I'm into it, however you want to make that happen.
Moresomes: If you want to do both of these ships together, I would basically die and go to heaven. Madison and Laura are the established couple and Genie is fighting to get Laura back and instead they end up as a triad? Yes, I would be into that.
WOMEN OF THE OTHERWORLD - FANFICTION - LUCAS CORTEZ/PAIGE WINTERBOURNE, NICK SORRENTINO/SEAN NAST
Lucas/Paige: Lucas and Paige are probably my favorite canon couple of the series, and part of it is that they do things like play strip spells, but also, I jut love the politics of their relationship. She's a witch! He's going to inherit a cabal! IT'S GREAT. And if you don't want to go straight to sex (and I would have no objection to you doing so), I'd love more about how they nativagate the increasingly cabal heavy part of their lives. They're not going to be able to run away from it forever, and what about when they have kids? Because they're going to have to have them and I should stop because if I start talking about cabals I won't stop.
Nick/Sean: This is one of those weird, random ships that I came up with one day because I wanted Sean to be happy and Nick was forever alone and that made me sad. And even though I'm pretty sure that there's some novella where Nick hooks up with a woman, I'd be perfectly willing to disregard that in favor of a future where they cement inter-racial relations by having sex everywhere.
YOUNG JUSTICE - FANFICTION - ARTEMIS CROCK/WALLY WEST, DICK GRAYSON/ZATANNA ZATARA
Artemis/Wally: FIX WALLY'S DEATH. Or anything from during the time skip. Or an au where he doesn't die. Or any au, really. Or maybe he comes back and it's angsty because she's moved on. Or pretty much anything, I love them and just want them back.
Dick/Zatanna: ARRANGED MARRIAGE ROYALTY AU. This is my fondest desire for them (besides kinky sex, which you can totally do with my blessing), but really, I just like them? I like them as best friends who recognize who fucked up the other person is, because they undoubtedly are. I like them as best friends who keep coming back to each other and fucking, because no one else quite gets them like the other.
Moresomes: I'm into the four of them together, as a unit, whether for sex or more, so if you want to go there, go there with my blessing.
