This will be a Things I'm Into Right Now sort of comment.

SO, things I'm really into right now:

Urban Decay Naked Lipgloss in Lovechild I've kind of moved on from lipgloss in the years, BUT I got this as a sample reward from Sephora. I like Urban Decay a lot, so I figured it would be fun to try it out, even if it would disappoint me maybe. It so did not! This lipgloss isn't sticky or tacky. It doesn't smell weird. It actually does nice work on smoothing my lips and the dead skin. Lovechild is a medium pink, by its description, so it shows up some but not a ton. It's a great color for days where you just want something on but don't want lipstick or color.

MAC's Vegas Volt It's Spring so that means I start busting out brighter color lipsticks. I'd wanted a coral but coral has been sort of my "red", as in hard to find one that looks good with me. BUT, this coral is soooo nice. I have cool skin tones, and it's great. It's bright and fun, but blends well on so it's not too much.

NARS Orgasm Illuminator This is a liquid illuminator/highlighter. It's expensive, but so worth it, IMO. If you're looking for something to use as a highlighter to make your cheekbones or anything stand out, this is great. A little bit goes a long way. You need less than a dime size to do both of your cheekbones/highlighting space.

So.... here's a thing, I have a highlighter (from benefit, I think, their birthday gift at sephora last year), but I don't understand what I'm supposed to do with it. Help me.

OH OKAY.

This is going to sound really dumb, but hang with me. The places I highlight are ridge of cheekbone and the line from top of my cheekbone down to the bottom part of my jaw.

So standing in front of a mirror, looking straight, drop open your mouth/jaw. So that your mouth is open and lax. You know how that pushes your cheekbones up? You can see the ridge of your cheekbone then, the top of it, under your eye. The other part is taking your finger from that highest/farthest out part of your cheekbone (so the part that is right under/diagonal to your bottom outer eyelid corner), trace your finger down from that point through where your cheek will hollow in till you hit a tooth on your lower jaw basically.

That's where you want to take your highlighter and blend on. That makes your face angle out. Putting the highlighter on will make your cheekbones and such stand out and draw attention there.

So yours it looks like you're gonna want to put a bit on and then smooth into those areas.

The NARS I have lets me put it on top of my foundation.

INTERESTING. I can play with that. Because I don't really have cheekbones.

Play with it this weekend! The point of it is to draw attention there to make it stand out. So using it will make you have them

Also really great place to highlight if you are wearing a bright lip is your nasolabial folds. YES.
