I miss school....no, I'm not crazy

It's May. May... Amazing. So I'm alive and back home. Thus, bored out of my mind already (I just got back Sunday). Currently in the process of looking for a job. But nothing looks as fun as working at the computer store at school. Oh well, that would be too much to hope for.

This past semester was probably one of the most fun I will ever have. Because it's only supposed to get harder. Not only did I get to hang out with friends every night this semester, but I also managed to somehow pull off a 4.0. Pretty impressive considering the school. That brings my QPA up to 3.86, so I actually made the CIT (engineering) Dean's List (at least a 3.75). So while I'm very happy about my grades and how well the semester went, I miss school terribly. I didn't really mind the work since I got to hang out with people for a couple hours every night. I'm currently working on plans to go visit Pittsburgh sometime in June. Amazingly enough, a lot of people will still be there. Dan's staying for summer classes through the end of June and Jeff lives in Pittsburgh (and is working on campus). Not to mention tons of other people I know staying for classes or research. I'm actually one of the few who left. Even if that doesn't work out, Jeff plans to visit me in July. So I'd at least get to see someone for a couple days. Hopefully there will still be LAN parties this summer, because I'd really like to introduce him to the world of LANs. He plays Civ IV and a little Warcraft (which he has introduced me to), but not any first person shooters. I understand because he hates guns and the idea of shooting what looks like a human, but still I think he might like it if he tried.

So other than that, I also have a trip to Europe planned for the end of the summer. My family is going to go to Paris, southern Germany, and Vienna. And of course no one in my family can speak any French or German. Yay... It'll be fun though, especially because I have a European culture class in the fall. And I'm so happy about seeing Versailles. :) Yes, I'm a nerd.

One nice thing about being home though, I once again have the Ohio library system at my disposal. So many holds coming in... I'm going to take a trip down there sometime today. I'm thinking about reading a little Dan Brown, but I also want to get some more classic books. We'll see. And my nerdiness is showing again...heh.

A quick note on the "random" music playing right now. My music tastes have changed a bit. This is just one song of many that I've picked up from Jeff. There's now a whole lot more 80s music and such. But it's not always the typical rock stuff. It can normally be classified as "gay people music" as everyone at school calls it. But it's good. :)

Homesick:
