In Which I Hate on Life Back in Minnesota

Oh gheeze, guys. I've been snowed into this house since Christmas Eve. My sister decided to rent a HOTEL ROOM with a pool so she could get the kids out. Also an lol: the main interstates in Fargo, ND are closed and no travel is advised even on the roads that are open (they are few) but the MALL opened at 11 a.m. this morning. CAPITALISM SOLDIERS ON, BITCHES! /sarcasm. Seriously really? If people want to be crazy enough to drive that's their business, but what about the employees at these places? They have to risk their lives to show up to work just so YOU get your Christmas deal? Now to be fair, this was the mall that made the decision that it would at least be open, I'm sure that there were individual stores that didn't bother to call their employees in, but seriously try and use your brains!

Additionally after having the news flitter into the computer room: I AM SO TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT THIS NORTHWEST BOMBING. This isn't part of some resurgent al-Qaida plot. And additionally TSA/DoD/NSA/etc, please don't pretend like your new measures are going to catch anyone. If someone wants to get something through, they'll get it through. College students hired by you to find the gaping holes in your strategy get through all the time. And no access to carry on or bathrooms an hour after takeoff and an hour before landing? Boy let me tell you a great way to get around that, they're going to BLOW THE PLANE UP IN BETWEEN THE WINDOW. God if we want to save millions of dollars a year in this country we could disband that joke of an organization! Flying is always a risk, from crash and burning, to having pilots zone out and miss the airport, to terrorism. Why are people willing to pay millions for the illusion of security? I don't understand this place some days. *sad face*

How was y'all's Christmas? I'm trying to get caught up with everyone's LJ posts. :)
