To speak it out...
I just have to say that I LOVE God. I love Jesus Christ. How wacko do I sound now? I'll tell you. God loves me with a passion, and I do some shameful things sometimes. I really wish I didn't, but the Lord is right there, waiting for me to say "Forgive me". I don't have friends or family who can even fathom loving me to that extent.
There are a lot of crazy people in this world who are WAY out there when it comes to being fanatic. There are a lot of Christian fanatics who are sooo fanatic that they try to force their own convictions on others. I just want to say if you are someone reading my journal who has been turned off by that behavior, just know God for yourself. Just KNOW Him. Don't let other people prevent you from truly BELONGING to God. Jesus sooo loves you.
If random people are reading this and are cynical, I understand. I watch Bill Maher, too, sometimes and yes, he makes Chistians sound like idiots. I know I can really BE an idiot sometimes, but who cares about what Bill Maher has to say? Who cares about what I have to say? I doesn't matter! All that matters is you and God.
Just get alone with Him. Talk to HIM. He's the one that's got the answers! Not Bush. Not politicians. Not me! Christ has the answers! Who cares how ridiculous people can be? It's not about people!! I learn this everyday!! In every moment that I react- it's not about people.
If you feel like you need to belong. If you feel like there's more to life then just passing through hoping to find that next heaven on earth, then reach out and talk to God. He's just waiting to love you. Don't let any list of do's and don'ts distract you b/c it doesn't matter. Just talk to God. The more you talk to Him and get accostomed to Him talking to you in return, the more He will change you into the best you. You don't need the church to change you. You don't need fanatic Christians to change you. You don't need me to change you. We can't. We have NO business trying. God does that all by himself.
Philipians 1:6-7
"...being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart; for whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God's grace with me."
