yes id love to! you should post a picture of your hair so i have a better idea what it looks like.

What kind of straightener did you get? You have to get a relatively nice one for it to work. I bought one from walmart and it just made my hair poofy-straight. I got a 40 dollar straightener from sally's and it really works well.

also, i know some girls with curly hair brush their hair, so definitely don't brush your hair if you do! while im in the shower with conditioner in my hair i use my fingers to comb out the knots. when i get out, i have to immediately put products in my hair so it doesn't start frizzing. First, I use a hair serum (biosilk, frizz ease) and distribute that throughout my hair, but put most at the dry ends of my hair. Then I use a straightening creme and then gel, Biolage gelee works THE BEST. i don't use a hairdryer, I just let it dry on it's own.

i have to go to class now, but if you need anything else just let me know, i can help you out with other stuff too and if you need pictures i can post recent pictures of my hair because hte ones you see in my journal are pretty old compared to what it looks like now lol.

:)!

You are my new favorite person! ;]]] I am so excited.

I have a Remington Protect&Shine from Target. It was about 30 dollars and looked promising at the time. I also use... erm, well I've been experimenting with Fx Flat Iron straightening spray. I also have some Citre Shine mist serum type deal for when I iron my bangs.

I'll dig out my camera wherever it went to and get your a decent picture. I have a couple horrid bed heads from forever ago, but no recent ones. >.< Could I please, please see some of your hair?

Thanks so much!

love, jessie

if it's not working that well, i'd say invest in a new one, a good straightener is worth the money. I usually stay away from sprays though because it distributes unevenly in hair. if theres any way to just dump some in your hand and put in you hair, it would work better.

some pictures:

old one, longer layers and just more blah

when it was straight:

and then i dyed my hair a BUNCHHHH more from bright red to auburn and been bleaching it since so i have alot less of hair but now you can see what curly hair looks like with a crapload of layers and being short lol

heres sideview haha: http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a221/kerbuskia/andrea010.jpg

and i strongly suggest a hat like this one because it covers any bad hair day, its a lifesaver 5 out of the 7 days of the week lol

Hello again, Miss!

I crapped out on commenting, but I did buy a new straightener! I got a j'blah de paris ceramic from Sally's upon recc from the sales lady. It straighens waaay better than my last one BUT my hair all sticks out. Like, it won't lay flat. It sticks straight out. I am pretty much stumped. I used my spray, coconut oil, and even plain hair... all of it sticks out. WTF is going on? Should I get a refund/new straightener? I can't figure out what I am still doing wrong. :[ Any ideas?

Thank you! xxx

It may be because you're straightening your hair wrong. Blowdry your hair in chunks and make sure the nozzle downward. WHen you use the straightener, tilt it outward when you start at the roots of your hair and make sure you press it together pretty tight when you move it down through the rest of you hair. It's all in the way you straighten your hair, if you just pull it downward without tilting it outward so it bends the hair inward, it'll end up sticking up in some places. I'm not sure if this is making sense haha..use a hair serum when it's wet too and if there are still flyaways apply some more serum. Also, wehn you straighten your hair, use very small sections. i hope this helps! let me know if you have any more questions :)

I just wanted to let you know that you made my life. I WAS DOING IT WRONG! When you said tilt it out, I was like, why not? I figured it was worth a try, but I didn't really think it would be a huge difference, you know? I thought my hair was just stupid. OMFG! I was doing it wrong. NOW IT LAYS PERFECTLY! I am floored. I was straightening it wrong. WTF?! I can't believe how simple it was to fix.

& I uploaded some photos of my hair for you. I'm makeup-less in some of them, so I apologize for the grossness. ;] Plus, it seems I am incapable of being serious when taking a photo of myself.

You have been warned!
