So I was bored and there may have been some impressions/headspace...oops?
Usual spoiler warnings apply for headspace etc.
Elysia
I’m sorry.
I’m sorry that the tonics I dosed us all with were not enough to save Decius and I could see how much his loss pained you. If there was some way I could spare you that pain I would, but it is the price we pay to be human; to love and to grieve in equal measure.
I am glad however that Anna-Valeria informed me that the tonics did save you and her. In some ways it is enough to know that my efforts managed to give you a chance…and I have no intention of telling you just how much I underpriced those potions by; your life and the lives of Urizen’s other sentinels are worth the cost even if I must beggar myself in the process.
I’m fairly certain the Bursar would not approve but there are some things more important than simple numbers and cost-benefit analysis; the lives of the men and women who put themselves into harms way to protect those who cannot defend themselves are worth that much.
And their sacrifices should be honoured and remembered.
Corvus
I must admit I found myself torn between horrified pity and inappropriate amusement following spending time in the company of your sister in law; even more so for Sarus who volunteered to bodyguard her whilst she was in Anvil. Are you quite sure you knew what you were letting yourself in for when you married Eriktho?
Still, regardless of how I may feel about her personality she is family to you which makes her family to me and to the rest of the Spire. And no-one threatens one of my family; when you need me I shall be there.
Kalindar
Your murder was a tragedy; for unlike a human you will not have the opportunity to pass through the Labyrinth and be reborn. From what I knew of you I have no doubt that your passage through the labyrinth would have been swift and we are all, human and imperial orc alike, the poorer for the loss of your wisdom.
Not to mention I will miss your speeches in Conclave; you were short and concise which is a rarity I have found when dealing with mages in love with the sounds of their own voices.
Decius
I wish I could say I was surprised although having known and fought alongside you I was fairly certain it would only be a matter of time before you found yourself passing through the labyrinth. May your passage be swift my friend and when my end comes may I meet it with even half the courage I am told you displayed at the end.
Carwyn
I must admit that was an interesting conversation to be sat in the vicinity of. I can understand why you were being accused of arrogance although I suspect it was more a combination of a poorly phrased comment and the certainty of a man who knows his path.
That said I’m fairly certain from that conversation that the ambush dedication to one of the virtues was not appreciated by the recipient so you may want to give some thought to selecting your volunteers more appropriately.
