Final Destination

The premise of the movie is that all the people in a french class were meant to0 die in plane explosion, and those who got off the plane before takeoff are being stalked, essentially, by Death. It's hilarious. The deaths are insanely elaborate. For example:

The french teacher (who left the plane to assist her distressed students)is at home. Keep in mind that at every second you're just waiting for her to die. She makes a kettle of tea, pours a cup, changes her mind, pours out the tea. She turns off the stovetop, but fails to notice the flame is out, yet the gas is still running. So the cup is warm, the gas is on. She decided instead to have vodka on the rocks, puts ice and vodka in the same cup. Spilling a bit, she wipes it with a dish towel and tosses it carelessly on the knife rack. The cup cracks (by the switch from hot to cold, we have Evil Science working here). She walks to her computer, leaving a trail of (unnoticed)vodka droplets on the floor from the computer room to the kitchen. She places the mug atop her computer, tries to turn the computer on, bends down to plug in the cord. While she does, vodka drips into the modem. She stands up and turns on the computer. The screen explodes, and glass shards impale her. She falls back and stumbles to the kitchen, flames from the explosion following her along the vodka trail. She slips on the vodka, drags herself to the counter, and pulls the towel from the knife rack, causing the knives to fall down and magically turn in mid-air to impale her. The the gas from the stovetop ignites, and the house explodes.

Hilarious.
