making the effort..
I love my museum job, I really do...but I find that I've learned everything I need to know to do it. Not everything in the world, mind you, but enough to do it well and better than others. So I want to find a way to stretch more. There is a job opening in Exhibits, which I would so love...but they havn't posted it yet, and I rather get the feeling it will be passed along the good ole boy network to someone without an official posting ever happening. I did make my interest known to anyone that I have unofficial contact with, but I dunno if that will help things. The guy that just left there got his spot through the unofficial network, so even if I don't get this one perhaps the next spot I can use whatever good ole boy contact I have to slide in. I'll admit to playing the game sometimes.
