Members of Mayfield, I have known for a while that a resistance has existed previously and yet it seems to no longer be accessible. So I come to you today for one reason. I wish for all of you to join me and stand together. We will restart this movement and expand its goals

Touma is so there, and by that, I mean he's standing on the sidewalk in front of the address given, hands in his pockets, just sort of... staring at the man... angel... person.

Outfit? I wear what is expected of me. As a warrior, I require armor.

[ Touma points at a wing. ] I meant those.

Understandable. Among many humans, this would be a sentence to death. No, these are natural but worry not, I am human.

[ Touma is momentarily awed by the sight of those. Something about the way the light hits those pure white feathers shakes him, deep inside, but he can't put his finger on where that fear comes from.

He doesn't let that show. ] --that's kind of hard to believe, when it just looks like I'm talking to an angel in tacky golden armor. I can't tell if it's supposed to give you credit or make what you said sound ridiculous.

You really want to save everyone, right?

You have probably never seen anything like this. This armor enhances my strength and provides me with a great protection.

But yes, every life is sacred to me.

Ah, nevermind. That's not important. [ A little preachy, but he can dig that. ] Everyone keeps telling me that fighting back is pointless. [ Bit of a grin. ] It's nice to hear someone talking some sense, for once.

Fighting back is never pointless, no. Even if the goal can never be complete victory, it can be keeping the other side from winning, which is much more preferable. But I assure you, we will do everything we can to win.

That's what I think, but they were all being really insistent. [ It was kind of sickening, especially with someone as stubborn and willful as Misaka just suddenly telling him, of all people, to keep his head down and wait. ] I wonder happened to break people's spirits like that.

You're promising a lot there. [ Gesturing. ] Don't get me wrong -- I think what's happening in this town is terrible. I'm not about to take anything they throw at me without a fight.

Am I? Or perhaps I have achieved successes that dwarf this town in entirety and am confident in my own ability to continue that.
