Let's see what's been going on with my life that fits with the title of this post.  In no particular order:

Today, I worked on a woman's computer.  Kathleen, a woman whom I go to church with and my folks like.  she's older, much older.  She's nice and we normally attend dinners or lunches with her, and attend holiday meetings.  I installed an old printer onto her Vista Compaq desktop.  The catch was that the drivers on the disk were only for 98, Me, 2000, or XP.  I'm glad I'm a genius.  I went straight to the HP website and downloaded the driver to fit the Vista computer.  Voila!  It worked.  Though she needs ink.  However, she didn't have a USB cable for it.  *sigh*  So I forked over mine.  I have extra in case I need to hook my tablet pc into something.  I made $25 dollars on this simple job.  Though, I didn't need to be paid for anything other than a USB cable.

OH!  And she fed me pizza.  Needless to say, we were both satisfied.

About a month ago, I bought a blue Nintendo DS Lite.  The intial games I got were Teenage zombies and MarioKart DS.  I also ordered quite a few from ebay using money I earned on that account.  Like Mario 64 DS.  Both Marios were like the ones on N64, though slightly different.  I even got a ton of mental games like Brain Age, Personal Trainer: Math, and Puzzle Collection.  I bought a Nancy Drew and MillionHeir, both mysteries.  I couldn't resist Nintendogs: Miniature Dachshund, though I got the Pug included on the game and called her Amelia.  And my current favorite is Dementium: The Ward, which mixes Silent Hill with Doom 3 or Evil Dead.  I LOVE IT!  Only two games have ever had an effect on my heart rate (yes, they freaked me out) and they were Dementium and DEAD SPACE!  OOOOOOh, how I love thee, Dead Space. <3

Stargate Atlantis finished. . . I'm still in mourning and have just now been able to grasp that reality and post about it.  It broke my heart to see it go, but good GOD what it a wonderful last few episodes.  There will be movies to follow up the season, just as SG-1 had.  Then there will be a Stargate Universe tv series.  I'll have to wait and see that in October.

Battlestar Galactica is coming to its end.  I thoroughly enjoy the last episode that aired.  Next week looks promising as well.  They found earth, its not what they thought it would be.  It was a nuclear wasteland.  Now the morale of the people is down and they're looking for a new home.  Though, Friday's episode had Galactica overtaken by the Vice President and Gaeta.  Adama and Tigh were to be jailed, but luckily escaped with Starbuck and Apollo.  Some others helped and escaped the ship, but the end showed the mutineers slowly opening the door on Adama and Tigh, who were gonna hold them off so the raptor could escape with everyone.  Then a grenade was thrown through the door and boom!  To be continued. . .

I've bee watching CSI: NY.  I enjoy it more so than any other CSI I have watched.  The original used to be good and I never got into Miami.

So, I've been quite satisfied with things lately.  Zoe is doing quite well.  She's getting so big.  Eventually I'm gonna need to move up to a bigger tank.  I mean, she has a plastic tub, which I think she loves.  So, the next size would be the biggest that Wal-Mart has.  It's not clear.  Instead it's a blue 50 gallon.  I think she'd enjoy that.

Katie has had a makeover, so to speak.  She now has 2.25 GB of RAM, which makes her speedy!  I installed windows vista, making her prettier!  I have had no problems with vista, though I'm quite the genius.  Well, I say no problems.  I installed it and my tablet speakers didn't work anymore.  I have the LE1600, and on Motion Computing's website, I can DL drivers, but none for windows vista unless I DL the LE1700 drivers.  I thought I'd experiment, and voila.  My speakers now work.  though I used to get a blue screen at the beginning of start up, but it has gone away.  Katie is top notch.  I realized no matter what, I couldn't trade her in for a newer one.  I can add RAM or various windows versions, but NEVER could I get rid of her.  Unless of course, I can't updated her anymore.  June 5th will be Katie's 2nd birthday.  I love my tech.  I still have my PALM T|X that I got one christmas.  Though, I haven't used it in a long while.  I've been too busy playing video games on the go.  Today Katie got to play dress up!  Though sadly, she only has one outfit: her bump case. I FELT LIKE RODNEY MCKAY!!!!   And she got to use her flat battery that fits on back and allows for 4 more hours of run time.

Hmm.  What else?

I posted the newest Jack Canyon story.  I've been told my writing is improving and that the stories are wonderful!  That means so much to me.  I aspire to be better and outdo myself with each passing story.  Though, someday it will have to come to an end.  I've already written the fifth story and am on break so I can clear myself for the sixth story.  I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I feel like playing Dead Space again, or perhaps watching Tooth and Nail.  I love Vinnie Jones.  I SO wanna see The Midnight Meat Train. . . yeah, its another horror film, where he's a killer!

stargate atlantis, battlestar galactica, dead space, video games, jack canyon, tablet pc, nintendo ds
