This Week In History. . . Sort Of

Sep 21, 2008 13:47

Ok, so I'm a week late with this post, but I had to wait on some items before posting them at all. So without further adieu I'm continuing with what's significant with my week. . .

Ashvini and I celebrated our FIRST YEAR ANNIVERSARY. . .

She sent these items:

First off its the Anniversary Card and a "scroll" that basically is a letter to me. A long, long looooooong letter.

Also included, and featured in the next three pics is a photo collage:

Next is the "Very Important Person Award":

And a poem:

Next features an item that was carefully put together, and difficult to handle. I liked it ALOT, but unraveling the tiny scrolls was tedious. But it was worth it. I mean, i was told how lucky she was to have me, and how good looking I am, and all that. Funny thing is, everything i sent her said the same thing :P Yes, about how lucky she is and how sexy I am. They should build monuments to my self-centeredness. OH! My favorite PS3 game of all time is miraculously in the pic, too.

Alot of stuff is in this pic. . . A T-shirt that came in that tub next to it and says "Don't Look at me just because I'm good looking". A bookmark magnet that says: Attitude (along the side in orange) and in white lettering: Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it. -Lou Holtz" The watch is nice, made by Vincci, and very expensive. There is a sandalwood fan to add to my Asian collection of items. And finally, there is suede string, which I made into a necklace and put the ring she got me a while back on.

So, that's what I got for anniversary. Here is a look at her's: Ashyville

It's been a fun and interesting year for us. I've enjoyed it, alot. I'm looking forward to another year. . . We've had our ups and downs and sideways. . . yeah, I might as well cover it all vertically and horizontally. I wrote this poem for our anniversary: A Year Ago Today

Usually I write a poem, print it out on something and make these cool looking laminated cards.  Special "Christopher-designs" like a two stanza poem for valentine's.  I had two hearts with a stanza on each heart.  But this time, I couldn't do that.  I had no more poems in me, because I didn't want to write anymore.  Though, I've come to write a few now and again.

*Raises glass*  To another year. . .
