Sometimes, when I'm talking to Greg about drugs or about how we are the only ones around who don't do drugs, he brings up the scenario in which, he imagines, we exist - in the Sixties, he says, the kids who did drugs were the unusual ones, the special ones, the kids everyone paid attention to for being "unusual" or "extreme", and now, in our decade ( Read more... )

Doing drugs or not doing drugs is a choice. That choice is associated with certain types of people. In the sixties, hippies were the group that took drugs and today, a lot of people take drugs and there are anti-drug groups. I know of one group called Straight Edge who are a group of young people who refuse to take drugs, drink alcohol or be sexually promiscuous. While I think for myself, I think it's a good idea for them to follow those rules. However, you'll always get those people who will do something in order to be part of a group. In the sixties, people like that were more likely to be the ones taking the drugs whereas the same individuals now would be on the other side of the fence, it's true.

But the thing you have to remember is that you aren't that type of person, right? You wouldn't be in a group just to feel special, would you? I'm pretty sure I know what type of person you are and you're like me - you'd rather just be yourself and make up your own mind on things. If that puts you in a bracket, it's co-incidence.

Oh, and move to another country. Your country is ass.
