Saturday was fun, and nice and simple. Myself and Lee spent the majority of the day shopping around at the near the Sunrise Mall at Sam Ash and CompUSA for a nice long while. As we sifted through hundred of games, and movies, looking at the several thousand dollar plasma TV screens and deigning the little rooms we'd have attached to our houses for our personal amusement. Isn't it great when you find those stores that you know you love, that you will have tons of things you'll want to buy in it and the knowledge that you have the capital, however limited, to buy some of those little desires of yours. We called it a night pretty quick after a nice long while of window shopping and joking about all the odd things I would buy if I had the money. We spent a nice few hours at Sam Ash though enjoying the dozens if not hundreds of instruments that have for all of us to use. As Lee played with the electric guitars I toured around to all the pianos, synths, acoustic guitars and the few books they had on learning how to play. If I only had a few extra thousand dollars to buy a good synth and a really nice acoustic guitar I could have a lot of fun creating some fun music. Course if I had that much money to spare I would buy a lot more than that too. So it all comes back to me wanting money...anyone else agreeing with me on this point?
Sunday was an early celebration of my birthday so both my Grandfathers and my Aunt Barbara joined my parents and my pal Lee, who was the only one of my friends who was both here and not busy as all hell with life, work, or something else; I was quite glad for the company actually. We watched some comedians on CC, took in one of the George Carlin DVD's I had gotten for Christmas. All told I secured a nice sum of cash, got an very pathetically sung tune of Happy Birthday to myself by friend and family (As it should always be sung) as they were soon chased out of my house by my father. My dad is a social fellow only so long as we either force him to be, or it is in his interest. Lee and I hung out for a couple more hours until he left and I, after a nice day of being social and entertaining my elderly relatives, decided to take a nap and enjoy a quiet, albeit chilly, Sunday eve.
Which leads me to today. One day before my birthday tomorrow. After getting my 3rd. dose of my Hepatitis B Vaccine so I could prove to Emerson that I've fulfilled all my health requirements and thereby continue to be a student there. Funny though how in order to be considered healthy by Emerson I need to have millions of Hepatitis B dormant germs in my bloodstream as my body becomes used to them.
After faxes and phone calls I find myself over at Jay's and Amanda's tonight who, after inviting me over to give me my birthday gift, I have spent the last few hours with relaxing with Amanda and finishing a puzzle with her as Jay and his card crews play their games all night. I am after-all here every Monday that I am home to make sure Amanda in entertained after-all and to provide witty geek banter for Jay and myself. So far I am succeeding.
I am off to watch Amanda play Fatal Frame 2; one of the creepiest and scariest games I personally have ever seen in my life.
