Two roads....

Well today was a nice day off....after spending some time outside with my pup in the very early morning I took a nice nap from about 6:30 AM - Till about 9:30 AM....just in time to see my parents off as they were doing their weekly visit on my Grandfather...after they left I got washed up and sat down to finish some paperwork I had to finish up for Magill and my Temp job.

Nice thing though was that blorsky called me up and the two of us went out for a couple of hours, which was great considering what a beautiful day it was today. We went to Bethpage Park again and walked about the trails for a little over an hour, swapping stories, quotes from the Simpsons, Futurama and just enjoying the sun, all the while cracking jokes about how some of the deeper parts of the woods look like they're part of the Pine Barrens (Where Lee has actually been too since his relatives lived there at one time) or something out of Blair Witch. It was rather amusing though to think about all the goofy games and pranks one could actually pull on some of the deeper trails and sections of the park. Amusing....and interesting...of where's Halloween or April 1st. when I need it most.

Then a really odd thing happened we saw a leather jacket sitting on some branch, all alone with nothing else near it....making note of it we continued to walk on and saw a pair of nice sun-glasses sitting in the dirt down another path, then the sun totally disappeared and the whole area got a lot darker. Then there was a dead bird on the side of the path we were walking. At which point, after picking up my pace I said to Lee: “Okay, now this place is getting way too like a bad movie...” The two of us made a quick dash on another path, the sun reappeared and no more odd little things happened. Geez, talk about walking the wrong path for a bit! ^_^

Afterwards we stopped by a deli that he knew and had some nice sandwiches, Chicken Parm. for me. My favorite! Some nice window shopping at Broadway Mall, reading some great Graphic Novels in B&N and some video shopping in Suncoast, Babbages and EB and we called it a day and headed home.

My parents, who have been in the city most of the day seeing a Broadway show (Thoroughly Modern Millie) will be back eventually and then I've got to turn down all my music and actually pick up the mess that my room became with me being out all day.

Hmmm....

You know, I think I'll move to Massachusetts in August instead of September. Yeah, that'd be swell......
