NAME: Xion
SERIES: Kingdom Hearts
CANON POINT: After Xion's Death aka Returning To Sora
HISTORY: Xion's beginnings were in Castle Oblivion, created by Organization XIII's Vexen as an imperfect Replica of Sora from leaked memories that escaped him as he slept to restore his own memories. From Sora's memories, Xion resembles Kairi to an extent, as memories of Kairi are strong in the Keyblade Master's mind, but depending on who looks upon her, Xion can appear to be Sora, Vexen, or just simply a hooded doll to some. Though flawed to some, since Xion came from Sora, she is able to wield the Keyblade, just as Sora and Roxas can, which becomes one of the critical plot points of Days' storyline.
Even though, in the beginning of the game, Xion is inducted formally into the Organization by the Organization's leader, Xemnas, she is never really accepted as a true, official member, as she received no "throne" to sit upon like the rest of the Organization. In fact, people are simply led to believe she's another new Nobody, when, technically, she is not. When Axel leaves for Castle Oblivion to deal with the traitors within the Organization, Roxas is charged with Xion on some missions. At first, she is just as quiet as Roxas was when he first started out, but eventually opens up to him, even saying his name as the first things that truly came out of her mouth.
By spending several more missions with her, it is found out that, on a mission to exterminate a Darkside, Xion can use the Keyblade. At one point, Roxas falls under a coma, to which Xion spends the time watching over him when she can, and places seashells she finds from the worlds she visits near his pillow for every day that he sleeps. It's noted in a secret report that, during this, she felt she heard the sound of the ocean lapping on the shores, but did not know why. Axel comes back from the events of Castle Oblivion to find Roxas and Xion as friends with each other during the time he was away; it's also interesting to note that Axel sees Xion as a hooded doll, but when the game panels back to Roxas's view, Xion's hood is down. It isn't long before Axel accepts her for who she is herself, and the three begin eating sea-salt ice cream together at Twilight Town's train station's tower. From this point on, Xion holds and develops a strong bond with Roxas and Axel, specifically Roxas, as they all note that Xion and Roxas seem to be "special Nobodies". Axel even helps out with finding a solution when Xion is unable to use the Keyblade for a time and she was afraid that her superiors would find out and deem her useless. With the help of Roxas, Xion regains the use of her Keyblade, to which she thanks the both of them for the help that they had given, thereby the trio grows even closer.
All good things must fall apart at some point, and for Xion, things spiral down into confusion and distress when she botches badly on trying to deal with an Organization XIII imposter, who is revealed to be Riku. During the encounter, he tells her that her "Keyblade is a sham", to which she responds in anger and tries to attack him, but again, fails. It is from this point on that Xion begins to distance herself from the trio and the Organization as she tries to find out about her origins, which she does when exploring Castle Oblivion. Another encounter with Riku further solidifies her status as a Replica, a puppet created by Organization XIII to gradually absorb the Keyblade Master's powers via Roxas so that the Organization could have someone who uses the Keyblade under their control. From this same encounter, she is given the choice to return to Sora right then and there, and give back the memories he lost that are slowing his memory restoration, or be given some more time to think, as Xion felt that she needed her friends just as much as they needed her.
It isn't long, however, that Xion decides to go back to Sora, and disappears from the Organization once more. Roxas and Axel find her, and eventually do, but again, it isn't long when Xion escapes again, this time going to meet Naminé, where she then finds out that, once back within Sora, no one will remember her; everyone will forget Xion even existed. Despite that, Xion stands fast to her decision, even going so far as to confront Axel when he followed her to the Old Mansion to try and reclaim her back (thinking that her return would also bring Roxas back to the Organization). Though she fought hard, Xion lost and is taken back to The World That Never Was. Fatigued from the fight, Axel collapses, and Xemnas appears to take her to reconstruct her in preparation for her true goal.
When Xion finds Roxas at the same spot on Twilight Town's train station tower, they share a brief moment of eating sea-salt ice cream. The tranquility is broken when Xion reveals her altered form: Sora. Having had absorbed a lot of power from Roxas through close contact, Xion attacks Roxas to complete her goal to fully absorb Roxas and become the "real" Sora. The fight is a hard one, but eventually, Xion loses, sharing an emotional goodbye and one last moment in Roxas's arms as she begins to crystallize and fade away. It's then that Xion reveals the Organization's plots and urges Roxas to stop them before ultimately disappearing, apparently having gone back to Sora, and giving back all the power she had absorbed from Roxas to him - this gives Roxas the trademark ability to dual wield Keyblades, specifically the Oblivion and Oathkeeper.
Wanting things to go back to the way they were, Roxas goes back to The World That Never Was to try and fulfill Xion's request to stop Organization XIII, but is stopped himself by Riku, who awaited him at Memory's Skyscraper. During the battle with the Shadows, when Roxas throws the Oblivion to Riku, Riku gets a brief flash of Xion in his head, and even hears her voice pleading him to stop Roxas as he isn't fully strong enough to take Xemnas head on. Riku defeats Roxas with the darkness in his heart, but even though he is defeated, Xion tells Roxas to not be sad about what has happened, as she came from both "Roxas and Sora", and that, eventually, Roxas will go back to Sora, just as Xion has. Even though, by then, everyone has forgotten Xion at that point, Xion is content with just the fact she herself still holds memories of her time together with Roxas and Axel.
PERSONALITY: In the very beginning of Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, Xion is a very quiet person, usually responding to things told to her with ellipses. It is through contact with Roxas that she begins showing signs of activity, and becomes friends with Roxas, and through him, Axel. She still retains a bit of her shyness and silences throughout the game, but in the company of Axel and Roxas, Xion shows she can be light hearted and carefree, even ragging on Axel's "corny lines" about being together even when separated. In concern with her friends, Xion is more than happy to spend as much time with them as she possibly can.
When given the right provocation, Xion can lash out with sharp, and sometimes violent, whips of anger. She displays this by trying to strike down Riku when he called her Keyblade a sham. Failing to do so caused her to scream out in rage and frustration for what happened, and even carries that attitude towards Saix when he refused to have her go after Riku again to try and fix up her mistake of botching that mission. Facing such distress can cause Xion to distance herself sometimes, and brood, even around her friends. If it is anything that Xion dislikes, and possibly fears, is to be considered useless and discarded like a rag doll, a puppet she herself knows about the strings tied to her being.
Having found out about her status as a Replica, Xion displays bouts of stubbornness whenever she decides to do anything, such as rushing through Castle Oblivion to find out what she is. Xion even goes so far as to point the Keyblade at Roxas when he tried to stop her from leaving, and openly attacks Axel as she knows Number VIII is there to take her back to the Organization. Believing that going back to Sora was "the right thing to do", no matter how selfish that sounds, she confronts Axel again in front of the Old Mansion. Though, another reason for going back to Sora is because she knew her existence was endangering Roxas, showing that, despite it all, she still cares deeply for her friends and would do anything to try and stop harm from coming their way, even at the cost of her own existence.
WEAPONS/ABILITIES/ETC: As a Replica of Sora, Xion is able to wield the Keyblade, displaying ambidexterity with using the weapon as well. Before showing that she could use the Keyblade, Xion mostly attacked with moderately high spells. Her element is Light, another trait coming from Sora. In Mission Mode of Days, Xion's stats are medium-based, just like Roxas, but in the storyline, she gains an increase in power the more she spent with Roxas as she was unconsciously absorbing his power. She gives him his lost power when she is defeated. All in all, Xion seems to be an average fighter, sometimes showing miraculous displays of strength on occasion.
Whether it could be considered an ability or not, Xion unconsciously shifts forms depending on who looks at her. To her friends and Riku, she's just Xion. To Saix and others, she's a hooded doll - to Xigbar, she's seen as Ventus. Her status as an imperfect Replica could attribute to this fact, and as a Replica, she can absorb power of those she was created to absorb, even gaining their memories if exposed to them long enough.

THIRD PERSON:
The feeling was strange, the air around her crisp to her senses. Though she felt terribly confused, Xion knew one thing as she stood in the center of the City, staring up at the sky:
She was alive.
To say she was confused would have been an understatement. Xion was downright shocked to find she was even standing up at all. She remembered her defeat by Roxas's hands, remembered being held by those same hands before she had faded away... Did something go wrong in the process? Had she not returned to Sora properly?
Then she felt the collar around her neck, the feeling of it just as sharp as the rest of her surroundings. Frowning, she tugged at it in an attempt to get it off, but to no avail. Frustration sparking inside her, Xion shifted blue eyes around her, taking in her surroundings.
"Where... Where am I?" She asked to no one in particular. The square seemed entirely devoid of life, and the silence was sharp. Maybe there weren't people up at this time of day? It was then she noticed the hole in the ground...
Clutching her head, Xion tightly shut her eyes and hoped that this was all a dream. She shouldn't be here. Something had gone wrong, and if that was the case, Roxas-
Roxas.
Opening her eyes again, Xion glanced at several directions, then back to the sky. Would he be here, she wondered? And if he was... would he remember her if they met?
Only one way to find out, she resolved, stepping away from the hole and turning to walk around the city.
JOURNAL:
A journal... Why do I have this in my possession? Why haven't I... returned to Sora?
Where am I?
[ A small sigh, and a shuffle of movement. ] I don't... I don't understand why I'm here. Even better, talking to this notebook.
Why...?
