Ok ok ok...Ive had a very interesting night so far...
Decided to quit smoking,and havnt had a cigarette all night.That probably wont last but Im hopin to be off em by this weekend.Im gonna get the patches Friday and Im not worried if I have a smoke after work,or tonight or tomorrow cause these are the last days before the vigorous training begins.
BERKLEE school of Music,Boston, are holding auditions in friggin Dublin pretty soon (date tbc) and Im fucking there and no way Im waiting a full year for this.So that means,a huge huge knuckle down session on the piano. Its pretty simple actually, all major scales in four octaves,no minor or chromatics which is very,very good.And ear tests and an unseen piece and of course prepared pieces.I have to go back to my excellent piano teacher and beg forgivness.Me and Trish had a rocky relationship at the start when I was a kid,I hated her,and she use to blow smoke in my face.Then,as I got older,I started listening to her and understanding that she wasnt talking absolute shite all the time and she was worth a listen.Then I started smoking( oh to be 16 again) and that made lessons more fun I guess.Then just as I was really gettin good and all I could see was notes on the piano,I quit.Now Im gonna go down to her on Friday and beg forgivness and even if shes cool with that,she mightnt have a place for me this term.Thatd suck but are y'all proud of me? College!! Yar!! Cant wait to go back to college!!! And educate myself,and learn what I want to learn and be happy.
And if Berklee doesnt work out its off to the RIAM and thats that.I believe their prospectus is just as good as the rest,if not one of the strictist in the country.
