Drabble: Headaches
"Stop that."
Purple eyes blinked. "Huh?"
"I said stop that. It's giving me a headache."
Tsuzuki looked curiously at his partner. "Stop what? I'm not doing anything." That much was true. He wasn't doing any paperwork. The paperwork that was long overdue.
"You're pretending to be happy. The contradiction is bothering me." Hisoka looked at his partner. The older man stared back at him, then laughed. A genuine one, not forced.
"Sorry, Hisoka. I'm so used to putting on a show for everyone, I didn't even think--"
"Of course you didn't think, baka. It's too hard for you." Hisoka looked away, back at his own (not overdue) work.
It took Tsuzuki a few minutes to process. "W-wait... you just..." Tsuzuki pouted, then got up and ran off toward Tatsumi's office. "Tatsumi! Hisoka's being mean!"
Hisoka sighed, then smiled softly. At least he'd snapped his partner out of whatever funk he'd been in. He'd be annoying until Hisoka apologized, but at least he wouldn't give him a headache.
