My embroidery kit. Also, this version of LJ is a PITA.
Over the last week or so I have come up with embroidery projects to make for almost everyone in my family. I gave Jessica hers for Christmas, and she loved it, so I decided to make things for everyone. So far, I have a pattern for my nephew for a relatively small nameplate for his desk - his initials in his college colors on a grey background (or black, i can't decide), but finding a frame is going to be hard. I also have patterns for my brother and his family, which would also be insanely expensive to frame the way i want. I have a redwork cross for my sister, and since my nephew and BIL have the same initials I can just use the same pattern and use purple and grey instead of green, lol. That leaves my parents. My mom does every fiber art known to humanity, and she's basically Athena (or maybe Arachne? HMMMMM) so there's no point in giving her something I've made - it would never live up to her standards. Seriously. The halls of her house are littered with blue and purple ribbons, the spoils of her conquests, the fiber art battles where she defeated all foes and left them behind in her dust.
