Cons, Cons and a little bit of life squished in

Next weekend is Boskone, where I will be babysitting. I suppose it's a little late to include Arisia updates, but I babysat at Arisia again, and had a lot of fun. Getting paid to go to cons is a pretty good deal, even if you wind up missing a bunch of interesting panels. As with most cons, it was a great opportunity to meet up with a bunch of people I rarely see and encounter some new ones.
My aunt and uncle are coming to visit my grandparents and, meanwhile they're using my presence as a convenient excuse to get to Boskone, and possibly even spend some time with me. My aunt and uncle are the people who took me to my first con after I was old enough to participate (my parents took me to a few as a kid) and I don't see them nearly often enough since they live on the other coast, and several hours drive from my home there.
Speaking of which, for those of you who are on the other coast, I will be coming home for Pesach break (read as Norwescon). My friend Tim and I are looking for other people to share our room to cut costs, preferably two, but we would be willing to discuss floor space if more people want in.     In March is Intercon, where I'm running a game. Any LARPers who are anywhere in the vague area and aren't already coming really should be at Intercon. This is my third year, my second running a game. I always feel LARP deprived on this coast, so I'm very much looking forward to a weekend of immersion.
And then in September is Worldcon.  When did I become this much of a con geek?    I'm currently working doing grunt work in a biolab, but I just got a reccomendation from my boss to the lab head for a research position for next year, which would be a lot of fun and look really good on resumes and graduate school applications.  There is also a very good chance (a certainty if I wind up doing research) that I will be staying in the Boston area this summer.
Speaking of biology and other school related subjects, I should really get back to the work I'm procrastinating.  Obviously I'm really trying to avoid work, that's the only reason I know of to post an actual update here.
