Day 01 - First football player obsession
It happened one fine day when I was about 11 years old. I saw my first ever football match. Yes I was that late. You see I'm a pakistani so cricket is the thing. But maybe God wanted me to see Beckham so I saw this match of England against I don't know who. And it was INSTANT!! Beckham looked like a Greek God to me. He was so amazing!! I still wasn't interested in club football. It was national team matches for me. But whenever I could, I would watch Beckham play. And then from then on my obsession for him jsut kept going higher and higher. Until the year 2003, I was OBSESSED about Beckham. I even supported England only for Beckham and then I took interest in the club part of football and I read up on him. And as I gained more knowledge of the clubs and players unfortunately my obsession started to go down! That man can play, or could play, but for me the paths he chose for his career were the major point for the obsession to decline. But still to this day, when I see him on TV ... I make it a point that I DO watch the whole show/snippet of him. He was my first favorite football player and he always will be!!
