great barrier reef.
i went out to green island today and snorkeled in the reef around the island for about an hour and a half.. i thought it was amazing and couldn't of gotten any better, but i was wrong. We took a boat off of green island to another reef about 40 minutes away to a huge pontoon that is permanetly stuck to the ocean floor. From there i got seats on the sun deck and sat out for a little bit, and then got some snorkeling stuff and went off the deck to snorkel in water about 15-20 feet deep with HUGE coral mounds, and just.. i cant explain it. It was beautiful, like i had stepped into another world. Gorgeous fish all different sizes in neon colors and irredescent and then just plain ones just inches away from me.. I saw puffer fish, and all diff sizes of parrot fish and sea slugs and just so many i cant even remember them all. Today was one that i will remember for the rest of my life (until i do it again :P) Some coral and sea sponges were huge.. bigger then cars, spanning from the ocean floor to the top (20 ft). I have pictures from the submarine thing i went in that was a boat, but when you went downstairs the sides were all windows underwater. I was there for hours.. just following fish and it was fucking amazing. Best thing out of the trip.. by far.
