So apparently I should make angry, frustrated voice posts more often, because when I do the auto-transcriber on LJ mistranslates what I say with hilarious results. *shakes her head whilst laughing ( Read more... )

Yeah, I'm just so used to leaving my computer on all the time...I know, it's bad. I'm gonna be better from now on.

Haha, thank you. I'm still weighing the pros and cons of dolling out the money for one of those AlphaSmart thingies. On one hand it seems a waste of money because I already have a keyboard and word processor on my laptop, but on the other hand I think it would help me be productive because of its lack of internet and other distraction programs, and it'd be hell of a lot easier than this "writing by hand" business. X-P So I we shall see.

Have you ever seen "Stomp" before? I definitely recommend it!

Oh, wow, grammar school? Does that mean elementary school or like...K through 12? XD It's really hard to let go of some old articles of clothing that I've loved and held on to forever, but they're really not doing me any favors anymore, so... *tosses*

Oh, I didn't know other people celebrated SAD! I'd assumed my friends made it up. That's awesome. XD Yeah, I don't get upset about being single on Valentine's Day -- it just doesn't bother me much -- but it's still fun to kind of reclaim it for singles and just have fun with your friends.

Wasn't it just?! It speaks for his hotness that I can still be so attracted to him even when he's wearing such an ugly tie. XD

Haha, good. :)

You're welcome! Oh, I personally think it would be a great thing to spend money on. I, of course, am terribly biased cause I've had it now for a year and a half and it serves my needs. In the end, you have to decide whether it serves your personal needs. I think it's great because of, like you said, the lack of internet and it sure beats writing by hand!!

No, I haven't! If I ever get the chance, perhaps I shall. =)

Hahahaha, yup! Most of it still fits me (I'm clearly a midget of some sort) actually. Yeah, it is hard cause of memories and junk but...yeah, there's just no use in holding on to some stuff. I do hope you donate it somewhere!

Lolz, yeah! I heard it all over my flist and then Stephanie told me about it. Same here, Valentine's Day is made out to be waaay more important than it actually is. This is true, I like the idea of having it for singles! Personally, I stayed home and my brother and I watched the V-day episode of "The Office." ROFL.

Tooootally. Haha! People on the thread were saying that was an ugly tie too! Why is it so ugly?! Lolz.

Well, if you can testify that it would be worth the money, I'll definitely take that into consideration. You've obviously gotten a lot of work done on it, LOL.

Definitely -- it's sooo much fun!

I'm a midget too. XD Although I've gained weight since I was in high school so not everything fits me like it once did. I came across pictures from my junior prom recently, and was kinda freaked out by how skinny I was -- I didn't have an ounce on me. :-O So while some stuff may hold memories, I can't even WEAR it anymore. Oh, I'm definitely donating it to Goodwill!

I agree with Jim Carrey's character in the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind: "Valentine's Day is a holiday invented by greeting card companies to make people feel like crap." XD Except I think it's also invented just to get people to spend money on things like chocolate and flowers and expensive restaurants. Even when I've been in a relationship on V-Day, I never made a big deal of it. With one boyfriend we both wore black and refused to be all lovey-dovey because we were dark and cool that way (LOL), and with another guy we stayed home, ate Chick Fil-A and watched Harry Potter movies. XD I think staying home and watching "The Office" sounds like a fantastic way to celebrate.

LOL, I don't know why but it just strikes me as hideous! I just don't like the pattern. Maybe I've been spoiled by Jon, Stephen, and Anderson's nice ties. XD

Yes, definitely worth the money! It came quickly via the mail, it's portable, it's lightweight and virtually indestructible (I dropped it against the wall a few months ago, lolz). And, yes, I have written the entire "Recurring Dreams" saga on my Neo. ;)

Hahaha. Midgets unite! Well, I used to wear stuff pretty baggy so...if it didn't fit then, it either fits now or is still baggy. XP Yeah, and if you can't wear it...it's not really practical. Awesome! :D

ROFL - excellent quote, and very true. Yeah, it's definitely a holiday that was pretty much invented by corporations to make us spend more money...so the significance is not well-founded at all. If it was truly about love, then it might be okay. But it centers around commercialism. Hahaha! That's probably just about what I'd do if I was in a relationship too. Lolz - well we thought it was fun. =)

Aww, poor Rahm. XP Ho-ho, this is true! Stephen and Jon both have absolutely loooovely ties. I can't really attest to the quality of Anderson's ties, but I would assume they are as pretty as he is. :P

You dropped your Neo against a wall? LOL, awesome. I'm a huge klutz who's dropped her laptop too many times to name, so...indestructibleness is definitely a plus. XD

Haha, I definitely wouldn't mind helping Rahm go tie-shopping. But it would really just be a clever ruse so I could say, "Rahm, take off your tie. And jacket. And shirt. And pants..." ;)

Anderson does wear pretty ties, but because he and Jon and Stephen have their own TV shows I bet they have stylists who help them with that kind of thing. The only person Rahm has who can help dress him is his wife...who, judging from the ties he wears, apparently LIKES him in ugly patterns. XD

ROFL - yes, I did! It was teetering on the edge of an easy chair, I made on wrong move, and BAM! Hahaha - then, yup, this is the machine for you!

Heh heh heh...so many things could happen in a dressing room.

Ahh, yes, 'tis true. People probably pick out their clothes for them, totally. LOL!! Well, I wouldn't tell him his wife has bad taste - or that he has bad taste for that matter...I think we discussed the gangster factor here, eh? XP

Wow. It does sound pretty sturdy! XD Hmm, I'll check my bank account and see what my finances are like, and then maybe make a decision from there...

Oh, honey, don't even get me STARTED. *fantasizes*

Oh God, that's true. I'm sorry, Rahm and Amy, please don't whack me!

*is amused by the implication that Amy Emanuel will kill me for saying she and her husband have bad taste in ties, but not for wanting to boff her husband*

Indeed, it is! Lolz! Okey dokey! I don't wanna pressure you into buying anything either...

LOL. That'd make for some niiice fantasies. :P

Hahaha! Srsly, I'd be worried about being whacked. LOLZ! Oh, man...the more we talk about them, the more I'd love to meet 'em.

Haha, you're not pressuring me! The thing is I can technically afford it, I just want to make sure that it's something I'll actually use first, you know?

*feels guilty again for wanting to bang the White House Chief of Staff*

I want to meet them too! But I'm secretly worried that Rahm won't be as amusing in real life as he's portrayed by his friends and the media. But then a lot of these things we know about him come from Barack, who I trust. XD

Ok, ok. Lolz. Yeah, I understand, you wanna make sure you can actually use it!

ROFL!

Hahahaha. Yeah, there's always that worry that a celeb (or in this case a politician) won't be as exciting as they've been made out to be. But, I think you're right - in this case, and with Obama's anecdotes, I think we can be safe in saying he IS exciting. XP

Haha, yeah, people wouldn't keep saying these things about Rahm if they weren't at least partially true. I bet he's secretly a lot sweeter than he's portrayed by the media, though. Whenever he talks about his kids or his relationship with his brothers, you get to see a softer side of him that's absolutely adorable. <3333

Indeed, 'tis true. Aww, well, yeah of course he'd have a softer side when it comes to his family. That's adorable, though, that he can be so kickass in politics and then be sweet with his relatives. <3333

Yeah, there's one video of him where he's talking about his brother Ari where he actually gets all choked up and misty-eyed...I was like, "Awww, Rahm, baby!" <3
