Ugh, I feel like crap. Woke up this morning with a really sore throat. At first I thought it was from staying at my parents' house, which can get really cold downstairs and really hot upstairs so the extreme temperature difference sometimes gives me a tickle in my throat, similar to what the changes in weather can do. But I also felt really nauseous and I ended up throwing up almost as soon as I stood up. I went to work, but I left only an hour and forty-five minutes later because I wasn't feeling any better. My dad was sick over Thanksgiving so I guess I must have gotten whatever it was he had. I don't know if I'm going to work tomorrow or not -- it all depends on how I feel. I need the money but I sure as shit don't want to be there if I'm still feeling as yuck as I feel now.

I'm also frustrated because I was going to spend this afternoon putting all the music on my CDs onto my iPod, but it seems that my CD/DVD drive is broken because whenever I pop a CD in there, nothing happens. It's like my computer doesn't even recognize that there's a disc in there. At first I thought it was iTunes's fault, but then I tried closing iTunes and playing the CD in another program, but it still didn't work. So now I'm pissed off that a vital part of my computer is apparently broken -- especially since I mainly listen to music via my computer. I have some of my music on my iPod, but that's only the very small amount that was already on my computer when I originally synced it.

Another reason to feel pissed: I bought the Colbert Christmas DVD at Target the other day, but it didn't play on my computer. My first thought was that I had a defective copy, but when my CDs weren't playing today I thought maybe the DVD might play in our regular DVD player. Which it doesn't. So I guess my CD/DVD drive isn't working, and I got a defective copy of the DVD. I never thought I'd say this, but: fuck you, Target.

Blech. I'm going to stare at Anderson Cooper in my icon, in the hopes that his prettiness will help raise my spirits.
