I <3 you, Craigslist

Jul 10, 2008 16:06

I just sent one of the posters on Craigslist the money for my Nick Cave ticket. He said he would send me the ticket before the weekend.

I realized that I have no reason to worry about being able to afford the costs of travel (the ticket itself was only $55), because between now and the show, I'll have my 25th birthday and I'm sure there will be a lot of birthday money coming in from my family. If nothing else, I can ask my fam to pay for my travel as my birthday present.

Plus, if it turns out I can't go, I can always sell my own ticket. Since the show sold out, I'm sure I'll have no problem finding buyers. As far as getting time off work...I have plenty of time to work that out. Plus, who knows, maybe I'll have a new job by then?

I am absolutely fucking elated. :D :D :D :D

Erika, just for you I'll shout out a request for "Choppin' Broccoli" at the show. ;)

To celebrate, I'm posting an awesome live performance of "Red Right Hand."

Okay, and the amazing music video for one of the best Bad Seeds songs, "Where The Wild Roses Grow." Nick duets with Kylie Minogue, and she appears in the video, and it's just creepily brilliant.
