In just five days I'll be in Nashville, TN with my girls, seeing Eddie Izzard perform! :D I can hardly believe it's so soon. It hasn't really sunken in yet...although I'm sure as soon as he walks onstage and I realize that I'm sitting only feet away from teh Izzard, I'll start squealing like the fangirl I am. I know from reading peoples' posts in the Eddie communities here on LJ that some people have been lucky enough to meet him after his recent shows, so I'm hoping against hope that my friends and I will also have this opportunity. Not that I would know what the hell to say to him if I met him. Probably just piss my pants, and then hand him one of his DVDs to sign while stuttering incoherently. XD
On another note, I just now saw this U2 music video from 1993 for the first time (I know, I'm a horrible fan), and I'm just in love with it. It makes me smile, especially the parts with the little kids, the rope, and the feet. I also really like that The Edge sings it (well...more like raps it) and that he's the center of the video (although the rest of the boys also make brief appearances). Goes to show that the B-man isn't so wrapped up in the idea of himself as the face and voice of the band, and he'll let his buddy take the reins for a song. :)
By the way, sorry my posts these days have been so up and down, mood-wise. I've had a lot on my mind lately, and I usually turn to LJ to either vent about it or to post silly stuff to distract myself from it (such as the video above). I think that getting time off from work to see Eddie with some of my best friends will definitely be an opportunity for my spirits to get a much-needed lift.
