I was over at my parents' house the other night, and I took some pictures of myself with my beloved kitty, Oscar. (Yes, he was named after a certain Anglo-Irish author. We used to have another cat that I named Bosie after Wilde's lover...but Bosie ran away. D: )

I also know a lot of people who don't see any point in doing anything beyond watching tv, and going to work. I sit there and look at these people and think "what the fuck?" I just can't fathom it.

I can't fathom it either! My ex-boyfriend, my brother, and several people I know are like that. As I said in my above entry, I often wonder what the point of life is, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to make the most of mine.

You also raised a good point by saying that some people think their life is worthless "if they haven't done something spectacular by the time they're 20-25." As a 24 year old with big ambitions, I often feel that way myself, but I also see the folly in that kind of thinking. Just as it's not good to not even try to make something of your life, it's also not good to put needless pressure on yourself by telling yourself that you're a failure in your 20's. I kind of think it's never too late to make something of your life.

I think it's better not to think to hard about it ;) haha... Consentrate on the things you love instead, and be happy you're not a mindless tv watching drone ;)
