So it finally actually feels like fall! Even though it has sometimes been getting up to the low-70's in the afternoon, the weather overall is much crisper. I love that I can actually wear long-sleeved shirts now.
I haven't posted photos in a long time, so here are some from Halloween of me in my fairy costume, and Erika in her gold digger costume; also, some pictures of the wall hangings in my room. I'm extremely proud of myself because I've finally begun putting my pictures up, putting all my books on shelves, and filing all my CDs. My room is really starting to look like me. :)
Pictures I took before we went out so I could get a closeup on my makeup. Erika helped me out with it, and did a kind of Amy Winehouse-esque job on my eyes. :)
Erika and me getting all huggy at the party.
My bookshelf, photos of myself and friends, and pictures of James Dean.
The wall hangings right above the headboard of my bed: my wooden St. Brigid's cross from Dublin, pictures of St. Brigid and Brigid the Celtic goddess, a postcard of the Celtic mythological figure Fionn Mac Cumhaill, a postcard of Josephine (wife of Napoleon) from Paris, a postcard of some Pre-Raphaelite painting of a queen knighting someone, a picture of Queen Elizabeth the First that I tore out of an issue of Time Magazine years ago, and one of my favorite Unitarian Universalist prayers.
My Ophelia poster and my "Alice In Wonderland" backwards clock.
My "Alice"-themed wall, which I plan on adding more to soon. The collage looking thing in the center is an art project I did for my Children's Lit class at Peace College about three years ago.
One of my favorite fairy paintings ever. I didn't realize until afterwards how much my Halloween costume resembles the girl in this painting. :)
