[Suddenly, he notices Touka's ears] Errr... you... do you always have those weird ears?

None of us know how we got here, actually. It's like a big mystery thing.

[Touka laughs.]

Nice to meet you, Koyomi-san. And no, I don't always have these. Sometimes we have curses here in the city. This is one of the nicer ones. Check your head.

[She gestures, feeling the top of her own head.]

Wait, you mean I have them too?!

[Araragi checks his head, and sure enough, he finds his dog ears] What is this, oddity city?! Then again, if it is part of a curse or whatever, I guess it's the same oddity...

Yeah, pretty much. It's weird, but you get used to it.

I've dealt with all sorts of weird things, so hopefully the impact will wear off soon.

Ahh, Touka-san, I was wondering... you're not originally from here too, right? How long have you been stuck here?

Oh, okay. Great.

And no, I'm not. I'm from a town called Sakura-Shinmachi, in Tokyo. I've been stuck here for about two months, though.

Two months? Hmm, I wonder how long this oddity's been in existence. If you've been stuck here that long, I'm guessing this palce isn't an escape friendly zone, is it?

No, no one's been able to figure a way out so far, unfortunately. There's people who have been here a few months longer than me, but no one's been here THAT long. We're all still trying to figure it out.

So it's a pretty young oddity, then. Not even a year old.

[Araragi thinks for a second] I suppose you wouldn't know why we're here, would you? If I knew that, it would make figuring things out a lot easier.

No one knows why we're here. Or even how to begin figuring that out. But if you have any ideas......ieas are always welcome.

[He sighs] Geez, where's Meme when I need him? I've got no ideas at all.
