My good deed of 2009
/So today, me and my roommate decided to sponser a child. We're already poor ourselves and my whole outfit is from Walmart but we figured if we pooled our money it wouldn't be so bad. Plus the guys who came to our door were so funny! One was really sensitive about his tiny phone (which was really tiny) but he swore it grew twice its sized when in use (I doubt it). But really how could we say no? The kid was so cute and he's redflagged (which means they'll take him off the list because he's not cute anymore!!) and they were so funny (and honestly, if you make me laugh or laugh at my jokes I will be your best friend for life. No lies). Curse you World Vision and your clever marketing!
In other news: Before sponsering a child, my roommate did the most HILARIOUS thing ever. It's totally understandable if you don't think so, not everyone is attuned to the awesome hilarity that is life like me, but this is how it went.
I'm sitting at my computer, rp-ing with Alyssa when Kinsey BURSTS through the door. I was about to ask how her dinner went when she's all JUSTASEC and runs into her room. I wait and I wait and I wait and then she RUNS back out with a garbage bag to a waiting car. Coming back in she locks the door and RUNS to the bathroom screaming GOTTAPEE! and I just BURST out laughing! It was just so sitcom-y perfect!
And then there's the incest that insists on following me through life.
Thursday: Incest that was not Wincest on Supernatural
Saturday: Tamara starts talking about how Alyssa likes Clark Kent but he looks like her dad which makes it INCEST
Monday: Anthropology teacher asks if someone knows the Oedipus Tale. I raise my hand (stupidly. I DO NOT SPEAK IN CLASS) an I ramble a quick summery (because it was either quick and ditzy or reciting the whole damn play) and then some guy helps me out by saying 'and he goes crazy and puts his eyes out with a pin'. fin.
Tuesday: Socology we talk about social Taboos, the most prominant being INCEST
Wednesday:Watching Two and a Half Men, it's the one where Charlie dates someone LIKE HIS MOM and Rose gives him Oedipus Rex to read.
Incest. It's everywhere. Get used to it.
