Underworld is a great movie...the whole war between lycans(the werewolfs) and the vampires(the vampires) was interesting. The vampires in this movie however were dicks and conceited fucks...which is a trait exploited of them in many movies today.So vampires have these elders that they wake up and put asleep every other century, the strong vampires, heads of the covenant. Anywas the head grandad vamp, Victor, was woken a centure early by this vampire/werewolfkiller/vengence seeker named Celine..which is the main character, who needed his help. She became suspicious that the ancient werewolf leader Lucian whom they thought long dead was still alive, and she finds their following and trying to capture this guy named Michael, because he has some sort of rare blood that can wistand a werewolf bite and a vampire bite...meaning a merge of the species. So anways unknowingly at the time, the vampire in charge of looking over the covenant, Craven, was involved in this scandal involving Michael and the lycans. Anyways, in the movie they fight and kill eachother off, Victor goes off in search of Michael because Lucian bit him and he was a lycan, and Victor hates the lycans. Well Lucian has Michael at his layer and then Victor,Celine come with their vampire warriors( i really should have mentioned that Celine liked Michael, was infatuated with him and wanted to help him)to find Lucian and kill him and the werewolves. I should also mention that it wasnt the lycans that started the war...it was Victor. Victor killed his own daughted because a lycan (which was Lucian his servant at the time) fell in love with her and was with child. He killed her by sunlight ofcourse in front of Lucian...chained down and whipped. What i liked about this scene was the ferocity of emotion coming from Lucian, like i could feel that brute anger boiling up in him.So he turns into a wolf, snatching the necklace Victor took from her, and jumps out the windown. So starts the war..Anyways, Michael and Celine meet up and are trying to escape when Michael opens a door and happens to see Craven, the evil betrayer who shot Lucian with silvernitrate rounds(leathal to werewolves),opens fire on Michael the now lycan, and injects him with a deadly dose of the sn*. Lucian still alive, sticks Craven in the legg with his sword thing from his arm, breaks it off and then gets thrown aside by Craven...while Lucian beckons to Celine to bite Michael...(because vampire and werewolve mixes are stronger than both)...so they do this...he turns into the monster, fights Victor...but Celine ends up kill him with his own sword(because she found out Victor was the one that slaughtered her family not the Lycans and only kept her alive because she reminded him of the daughter he killed).They walk off...and the wolves back off..and it leaves you wondering whats going to happen to the other vampires? whos going to head the covenant?who are going to become allies?
