Losing the distance

You have probably discovered this for yourself by now, but just touching someone on the hand can completely change a person-to-person dynamic. It removes the remoteness you describe and makes you approachable.

I'm not particularly comfortable with touching people I don't know very well, so learning to do that sort of thing casually and naturally has been difficult. But I have found out that it's a good idea, yeah.
