time sure flies...
set the scene: brown girl, 19ish, 5'5'', a little extra flub, but nothing she can't lose if she actually cared. wandering around a grubby walmart. the look on her face says "as an international relations major, i cannot possibly purchase anything here with good conscience, knowing about their global supply chains and the havoc they wreak on poor innocent lives all around the world just so i can buy a two dollar tee shirt, but i will wander around here just to placate my parents who desperately want me to just buy some summer clothes and be done with it." she grabs a pair of capris knowing they'll be too big and a pair of shorts knowing they'll be too small. she wanders over to the dressing room. instead of trying on the clothes, she sits on a bench and pulls out a card that she got in the mail today. closeup on the postmark: massachusetts. the cover of the card has a bird on it. she opens the card and read the contents.
voiceover: p.s. i kissed the front above the bird.
tears stream down the girl's face as she gently kisses the front of the card and desperately tries to cling to any vestiges of energy from her boyfriend.

i'm seriously writing a complaint letter to kohl's. no joke. they had an entire display of capris with four different colors. and i swear to you, litterally, they only had sizes 0 and 17. yeah. i'm sorry, but i think that all of the girls sizes 1 through 16 vastly outnumber 0 and 17. what the hell, kohl's. capris only come in sizes 11 and above. any smaller and they only stock booty shorts for you. are you serious? basically, what you're telling me is larger girls need to be ashamed of their bodies and should cover up, and slightly smaller girls must be slutty looking. who the hell decided that? fuck society. i'm going to sew my own freaking clothes. gingham prarie dresses are going to make a come back.
