Alright so tonight I'm writing a paper on St Francis of Assisi. He's a BIG cat!
Also, he hardly seems like some special breed, but maybe there are traits I'm not aware of, like the ability to breath fire.

the leopard-print pattern is rather uncommon among domestic cats.

Well, it's a form of the regular tabby pattern, and it is actually not uncommon among "mongrel" cats, if that's the term to use. Among the breeds it is less common, as far as I know, and the most famous one is probably the "Egyptian Mau".
