i stumbled upon this poem i wrote about 3 or 4 years ago on poetry.com...the site gives writers a chance to get their thoughts out. kind of a...ummm poet's LJ lol. neat idea...it copyrights everything =)

Mankind
when is it leaving?
the life is surely near its end
o thou art worthy
you seemed to lead a life of worthy men
you never had not the chance to value
the very creation of your existence
and yet you dare not to gleem
at the merest of persistance
consciousness is knocking at your door
you refuse to let it in
you think therefore it is
but yet you still grinned
when you died...
it left
