"We had plenty of fights and a few periods when we barely spoke, along with jealousy, fierce competition, hurt feelings and all of the typical ups and downs that go with honest relationships. Through countless relationships, magnificent teenage dramas, divorces, babies, new jobs, cross country moves and every tragedy or success a girl can have in so many years, our kindred connection has weathered it all. We've cried together; gotten screaming, cackling drunk and held each others hair out of the toilet bowl; laughed until our cheeks ached; covered each others asses; sworn to break the legs and balls of any man who hurts one of us; and confessed secrets that will die with us. No woman should turn a certain age without having-by right of brith or even years of searching- a band of such wily, devoted girlfriends. Even when you find the love of your life or collect new pockets of friends, these are the women who fill a permanent spot in your soul. They know and adore the real you, not inspite of you history, but because of it." (heart)
