BAs, MAs and chaos

So, as shown by yesterdays post I am indeed back on the 'net. I've graduated and moved twice... it's been chaos ;)

Move #1: Student house to student house... was somewhat of a disaster. We (B, T and I) were late moving out of our old house as we couldn't get into the new one as the idiot last tenant wasn't out yet! So we started late. It also happened to be the saturday of the Murray/Roddick match and the England/Portugal match... so all I managed was the first 40 mins of the footie. It also happened that the new house hadn't been cleaned by the weed smoking previous tenants. So we had the joys of a house that hadn't been cleaned for two years... different varieties of mould and dust and all sorts of problems... including half of the stuff left behind by the idiots. Was fantastic for T and I's asthma, which has gotten worse all round. So much so that my peak flow rate is almost 180 under what it should be and I'm now on a brown inhaler too! Anyway, got the bathroom and kitchen sorted and lounge cleared in time for B and T to leave on sunday night as they started work back home on monday morning. As they left, literally, my parents and brother arrived for graduation. We had a nice dinner out at a Spanish Tapas place. All this was happening in the middle of our nice heatwave :)fantastic!

Graduation: Was a very, very, very hot day... hit 30, at least. Not fun in black trousers, long-sleeved blouse, gown and morter board! Very nearly passed out several times, even in the ceremony. But, mostly, fun was had. And it still hasn't hit that I'm a graduate... that I really did complete and pass my degree, with honours! My family went home that evening and I spent til Thursday afternoon by myself in the heat... with only books, radio, doa3 on the xbox and five channels to keep me company. It was far too hot to be oustide. And I wasn't exactly at my healthiest throughout it all, from sunday onwards - cramps, etc, are evil. So I read three books, saw a lot of tennis, and property tv shows on daytime tv and played far too much doa3!

Move #2: Student house to home... all through the week I wasn't exactly sure when I'd be going home. Eventually it was to be that Dad would arrive with a van (yes I have that much crap) on thursday night and we'd leave on friday morning. He got there and decided it would be much better all round to drive back last night. I totally agreed ;) So we moved me out... and half my stuff is in my room and half in the garage.

Unfortunately I didn't get to write any fic, firstly my brain gave out and secondly the fic I was half way through and the notes I have on two others was, and still is, on my PC... which has not been put together since last saturday. Hopefully I'll get that sorted tomorrow... hopefully. Watched last weeks Dr Who and Criminal Minds today... hopefully I'll get to watch Dr Who tomorrow... but I'm not sure on that one as everyone else has only just watched the TV episode *rolls eyes* Why can my family never keep up with stuff?

Also: I have a place on the MA course! I'm gonna be a postgrad! Am a little giddy over that one!
