It seems to me that the 21:06 is a very respectable train to get back from Stirling on a sunday night. I waited a mere few minutes for a bus burgh-side and am home in plenty time for bed.
So this weekend has been fairly hedonistic and very fun. Friday night saw Graeme and Ann, and lo, we drank wine, ate a lot of garlic and chatted. Saturday was bye-bye Becky day, so after making G&A porridge and saying my goodbyes, pointing them in the direction of the pig shop (oink!), I made my way up to the rendezvous point where we drove out to Ratho for some hardcore climbage. Then back to Edinburgh where I ate a lot of garlic and other pizza and also Chinese, then played apples to apples junior edition and, yes, twister. There are photographs of Becky mounting me. And drank wine and exceeeeeeeedingly tasty homebrew. Then today I met Etak and Lucyfer for lunch and a trip to Paperchase before I headed to the train station to grab the train through to Stirling to meet John and Andrew. There we went out for pizza before heading back to Andrew's flat for beer and conversation, which lasted until the aforementioned 21:06 train.
So, all in all, the kind of weekend that you wish you could spend your entire life living like. But not the kind of weekend that makes you feel like you've had a restful weekend. Tomorrow sees work, then work drinks, then hopefully a haircut at the hopefully competent hands of Becky. And then, hopefully, collapsing into an exhausted heap, which I may also do now.
sweet dreams,
