So My Fortune Teller Says...
Today was probably the best of my work days. Work w/o Jeanne wasn't so bad after all. I got to know more about this 21 year old UCI gal called Melody who I breifly talked to yesterday and had lunch with (Tiff, also kindly came along to keep me company!*hugs Tiffy!*). Melody definitely taught me how to keep my students' behaved-like what to say to them when they insult me and how to threaten them, but not be sued. One very good saying that she said to me and which I will remember during my time there with the kids was,"You're here to teach the kids, not to be their friends. Class time is not a time to be friends with them. That's what recess is for." Soooo enlightening! I think I like my job much better now. Good news! I got my 5th graders to behave better by using Melody's tactics, and yet they still like me, so I guess that's good. The only bad thing that happened at work today was I kind of got in trouble with my boss. Melody came in to ask me if I wanted to take my kids with her kids to the library. Since my lesson was taught already and my kids were bored, I said yes. But then the principal comes and yells,"Shana, what you doing out of your room." I explain to her, but she kind of yells,"You just give them more writing hw to emphasize on your subject." So boooo on that! But at least she smiled to me later, so I guess that was okay. But seriously, I'm afraid that she might fire me. Melody disclosed to me that she started work Wednesday because my boss had fired the original reading teacher. Problem was, my boss didn't tell the original teacher until Wednesday-and after the original teacher had 2 hours of class already with the kids. It's so freaky! I mean what if her smile was evil....soooo scary. Well, that's enough with my job. Hope she doesn't pop up Monday and tell me out of the blue that I'm fired.
NOW FOR FORTUNE TELLING….
As some of you already know, Jeanne and I had went to the library Wednesday and found this book on B-day fortune telling.
According to the book, here are my positive and negative traits---all of which I find and think you will find very very accurate:
Positive: versatile, imaginative, creative, resolute, brave, good understanding, mentally capable, spiritual, inventive, mental strength, endurance, hardworking, dedication
Negative: disagreeable, quarrelsome, easily offended, argumentative, restless, nervous, mistrusting, overemotional, tense. ( I DON’T KNOW WHY THEY BOTHER TO GIVE ME 3 SYNONOMS OF ARGUMENTATIVE-STUPIDOS!)
Anyways, the book also told me b-days of people of which could be helpful, challenging and just plain wonderful to my life. And since, the above descriptions were so true and the rest of the other analyses it did of me was true to…I’m hoping these dates will be true too...makes it lot easier to find that perfect someone. I’ll just go up to them to ask for some guy’s b-day next time instead of getting to know them first! J/K.
