i went to the show with casey tonight. it sucked cause no one was there. blah blah blah you know the whole concert dril...dancing, smoking, talking, seeing friends, etc

ok so theres a long story that goes with it. i was up the night before until 3 AM because he left his shell and wouldnt go back in. my friend dan pease and i were looking on yahoo to see if there was anything i could do...and they usually leave their shell if they are under stress. so i did everything it told me to do and in the morning it was fine and he was in a shell. well last night i get back home from the show and i check on him and hes not in his shell and hes barely moving when i touch him. so i did what i did the night before but he just wasnt moving...their abdomens are really soft and sensitive, and even that didnt move when i touched it...so around 12 in the morning he died in my hand.

i dont know what happened. i did everything right for them...and he wasnt molting [when they shed their skin]. i just dont know...and they have switched shells so many times i dont know which is which. sorry smash. we lost a baby.

so sad. r.i.p. little hermit crab.

let's hope that one's death doesn't cause too much stress on the other one, as they were partners, right?
