I've had my new hurdy gurdy for about half a year now. I like it so much better than my old one. I can actually play a few tunes on it. The old one only let me play about 7 notes without screeching horribly. I've been able to learn a number of old French tunes as well as a number that I made up myself.
Now only if I could play the music I so very want to play. I want to transcribe at least a handful of modern songs onto it so that when I play on the street, people will recognize it. The big problem with my new HG is the range of notes are all so high that everything I play sounds like mice. I am starting to think about getting a new one with a much deeper range, but that would require more money than I can get by selling my current one. I made 4 dollars last time I went downtown. Not enough. And I want to learn a couple more songs before I go back.
Money money money. I wish it weren't so hard to get. Bleh.
