Voyageur Rendezvous at the Grand Kankakee Marsh

Chicago is a great city. There's so much to do around here. Problem is it all costs money. Lots of it. In addition, all my friends live back in Indiana. Jen works days, I work nights. There is very little time we get to spend together during the week. This weekend we managed to get away from the city, though.
We met up with our friend Joe, who treated us to a song.
Jen was happy to sit down for breakfast.
Joe later had to go march around, but I followed him.
Then I ended up in the show too.
Later, I found my friend Tom, who has a canoe.
We took it to a nearby beaver dam, where I tried my skills with a spear.
Didn't catch any furs, but I did find a huge clam shell. Beaver leftovers.
Then I spent the rest of the day looking good.
