We were once them!
Heres a toast from far and wide
in order to give cheers to those who died
on the rafters of a thousand high wall
which came down faster than that wrecking ball.
Four years to the day, only a few hours ago
our country and all it stood for sank below.
Our leaders lied,
many more died,
and yet those overseas
have no idea they're up to their knees.
Calmness and diplomacy was thrown out the door
only to "claim" more oil for the store.
Soon to be put on trial a leader of hate,
but when it all boils down we are too late,
For all of those involved are in huts
watching as our ppl suffer with filthy water and cuts.
May relief aide those who are in need,
but remember and remember well how it all started in greed.
To those now dead in either wake
Remember them,
salute them,
bless them,
we once were them!
