(no subject)
a few days ago, as kelsey and I were hie and watching breakfast on pluto (...anyone? haha) we were having a conversation about stuffing animals after the had passed away and she made a comment like "you would spend your money on something like that."
I thought it was funny, because although I wouldn't actually spend my money on having a beloved dead pet stuffed, I knew what she meant, and she was totally right. I blow my money on the most rediculous things. I do it compulsivly and I can't stop. its actually pretty funny.
today as devin and I were watching scrubs something made me think of that moment and conversation kelsey and I had, so I decided to tell the story. while I was telling the story, we became very preoccupied with the comercial that was on tv. it was for something called mighty putty or something like that. the preoccupation (does that work here?) caused me to pause the story to watch the commercial and forget what I was talking about. they made a chain out of the clayish stuff, and it pulled 80,000 pounds of mack truck with out breaking. it showed people filling in cracks in the walls with it then sanding it. hanging shelves with it as adhesive...holding shelves that could stand 350 pounds.... this stuff was intense!
we were both amazed and couldn't think of what specifically we would use this for, but we wanted to get it. it was 19.95 with shipping and handling, which I thought was a little steep for something I had no use for, but then! the man said he was TRIPLING the offer, six sticks of mighty putty for 19.95.
"oh my god, I wish I had a credit card" I blurted out. I would have totally purchased that mighty putty if I had any type of credit whatsoever, and it probably would have ended with jess stein passing out and me sticking things to her with mighty putty, but that's besides the point.
after I had said that, I knew exactly what kelsey meant when she said "you would spend your money on something like that"
I think I need to get a job that pays more.
