My college essay for Art Institute of Atlanta:

When asking advice from my peers on which college/institution I should attend, the Art Institute of Atlanta has been the number one recommendation. My current background in web design has lead me to search for the finest institutions in which can I obtain an education in the most suitable atmosphere. The courses currently offered in the Interactive Media Design program cater to my needs of pursuing my goal of becoming a professional web designer.

At the early age of nine, my interest in computers sparked my voyage into the world of web design. Within the next few years I had created a handful of websites, starting from simple HTML pages to PHP pages embedded with Javascript. I was also able to master creating graphics with Jasc Shop Pro 7 for use in the web sites. Currently, I am teaching myself Adobe Photoshop CS and Macromedia Flash to further my web design skills. I hope attending the Art Institute of Atlanta will provide the atmosphere sufficient enough for me to hone my skills as well as acquire new ones required in my field of work.

The Interactive Media Design program that is offered at the institute fulfills every aspect in web design that is necessary for a professional web designer to have a successful career. As discussed with the Assistant Director of Admission, Tara Sims, this course is designed to educate students in all the stages involved with web design.

With the opportunity of receiving a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree in only three years, the Art Institute of Atlanta is by far the most reasonable choice for me to provide myself with the proper tools necessary for me to succeed in life as a professional web designer.
