I'm a cake eater. There's a cake, I eat it.

Jenny here, reporting live from the capitol of the great state of Texas, Austin.

I can't describe how awesome just these past three days have been. I'm living in Gochi's apartment with her and Jack right now. And it's been so much fun. I could seriously get used to living like this. Gochi made steak and grilled asparagus the other day, and Jack made the best cake ever. The apartment is right behind the Drag, so I'm a hop, skip, and a jump away from not only URBAN OUTFITTERS, but also other cool stores, and the famous Kerbey Lane is also in extremely walkable distance.

My orientation for my internship was on Monday, and I'm not going to lie, it was a little intimidating walking up the the STATE CAPITOL for my first day. I met one of the other Music interns, Sarah. She goes to Boston College and we have a love for Brand New, Panic! at the Disco, Urban Outfitters, and Poptarts in common. I also met one of the film interns, Robby, who was also really nice.

Tuesday was my first day of my internship. Sarah and I got there at 8:30 in the morning. Stephen, the office manager, was teaching us how to use all the programs. It was definitely information overload. But the people that work there are so awesome. Andrew is another guy who works there, and is totally goofy and smart at the same time. The director of the Texas Music Office, Casey, is so funny. I feel like I'm going to have to work hard, but I think I'm going to have fun and learn a lot while I'm doing it. I also met the third intern, Kandace, who actually knows my brother. Weird.

Last night I went to the Music Law Sessions. It was a panel of attorneys talking about different subjects of the legal aspect of the music industry, and it was definitely interesting. Casey was the moderator, and he totally called me out. "Do we have an intern here? Oooh we do! And it's her first day too!!" He had me pass something out to the audience. But he introduced me to a lot of cool people in the industry. I also met the last intern, Meredith. She was really awesome and hopefully we'll go to a show sometime. There was also this gorgeous singer/songwriter sitting in front of me, but I had to leave early because I had to make the 10:45 Omen with Gochi, Will, and Jack.

Well now I'm off to romp on the Drag. It's been a good three days, and I hope that the rest of the summer will only be the same,
